RAW BEECH

Beech is a wood belonging to the deciduous family. Its color is pale, with whitish or reddish/yellow colors. The wood is heavy and not very elastic and is used to create soft and delicate environments. Pleasant color gradations for furniture are obtained thanks to the combination with colored lacquers.

EUROPEAN CHERRY

A sturdy wood with good resistance to bending and impact. Its shades vary from soft orange to brown red and have greenish veins. If painted “natural”, it tends to vary toward reddish and brown shades. However, there are manufacturing process that can retain the original color.

AMERICAN CHERRY

Robust and impact-resistant, this wood has good processing and bending properties. Its color varies from intense pink to reddish brown and darkens with the exposure to light. Its fiber is fine, uniform and straight with fairly regular veins and can contain natural streaks and small pockets of resin.

MAPLE TREE

This Canadian wood belongs to the deciduous family. Its wood is pinkish yellow, very light and includes some veins. It is a study wood with a shiny, silky surface and is generally used for modern furnishings. It’s ideal for those who want to create an essential-looking, space-saving environment.

FIR

Fir is a soft wood of the resinous family. This fresh wood is white and turns pale yellow when aged. It is a solid, elastic wood characterized by a consistent presence of knots. It is normally used for rustic furnishings.

This essence is obtained after a manufacturing process that alters the original color of the beech, making it more reddish-pink and further highlighting the grain, while maintaining the vein design unchanged.

SEMI-EVAPORATED BEECH

Semi-evaporated beech is a wood essence obtained after a manufacturing process that alters the original color of the beech, making it more pinkish-orange and slightly highlighting the grain. The vein design remains unchanged.

ASH TREE

A strong and very sturdy wood essence. Its color is white-pinkish-pearly and may show shades of greenish. It can be cleaned and polished very well. Thanks to its very porous grain, “open pore” effects can be obtained even after lacquering.

WHITENED ASH

It’s a finish treatment aimed at softening the veins of this wood, by uniforming and lightening its essence. It is especially recommended for modern-looking furnishings.

MAHOGANY

Mahogany comes from tropical America and the West Indies. Its wood is hard, compact and very oily, dark red in color with beautiful golden reflections. This wood essence is mainly used for boat furniture but, in residential contexts, it certainly grants a classy, unique look.

CANALETTO WALNUT

Know in Italy as “Canaletto” or Canadian walnut. This wood essence has an intense dark brown to purple black hue. It is one of the most important wood among those used in the manufacturing of furniture.

It is one of the most important wood essences in the production of both classic and modern furnishings. Its greyish-brown color shows irregular dark brown streaks. Natural veins are highlighted by skillful artisan painting, turning this wood essence into an element of added value.

ROSEWOOD

Rosewood comes from Brazil and India. It is a very compact, dark wood with red-violet veins and originally has a pleasant fragrance. Thanks to its dense fiber, it can be finished and polished very well. It is used for peculiar and precious furniture, made even more unique by the reflections of its colors.

PEARWOOD

Pearwood is considered very valuable. The essence is strong and comes from the hardwood family. Very compact and heavy, this wood essence has a remarkable resistance to woodworm attacks. It guarantees excellent workability and does not splinter. Its color is rosy-reddish.

PINE TREE

Pine is a soft wood, very resinous and shows the presence of some knots. Just like fir, it belongs to the resinous family and has a reddish-white color. There are several qualities of pine tree that are suitable to produce furniture: maritime pine, wild pine and the finest Swedish pine.

AMERICAN OAK

Oak is an extremely hard wood essence. Its color is yellowish-brown and, depending on the geographical area, can take on shades ranging from greenish for Slavonian oak, to greyish for German oak, to straw-colored for French oak and whitish pink for the American oak.

WHITENED OAK

A finishing treatment for oak wood that aims at lightening and softening the contrasts of chiaroscuro that are naturally present in the essence. It is especially recommended for modern furnishings.

TANGANYIKA

It mainly comes from the Ivory Coast. It is usually dyed in walnut color and called “Tanganyika walnut”. Due to its low cost compared to walnut and its consistency, this wood essence is used for solid furniture with strong thickness, or for veneers.

TEAK

Teak comes from Burma and Indochina. Very solid, almost inert to atmospheric changes and humidity, it can be used for naval constructions and high-quality garden furnishings. It allows the creation of modern-looking pieces of furniture of great value.

TOULIPIER

Toulipier comes from Canada and the United States. It is a very refined wood, suitable to produce furniture. The shape of its veins and its clear color make it ideal for some particular varnishes that make it look almost identical to walnut, but certainly cheaper. Extremely used for poor art style furniture.

WENGE’

Wenge is a very sturdy hard wood to work on: for this reason, it is not very commercialized in its solid version. However, it is very used for veneers and is characterized by a dark and homogeneous mocha color. Especially suitable for high-tech furnishings. Often replaced with mocha-stained oak by industries due to its high costs and difficult processing.
